Santalucia Mobili in 1,300 OVS windows
Santalucia Mobili is the new official OVS partner, supplying the furniture for its window displays in Italy and around the world.
After a careful selection procedure, the Italian fashion brand founded in the Veneto region, and a leader in the Italian men’s, women’s and children’s fashion market, chose Santalucia Mobili to create its new window displays. Giovanni Fasan, in charge of the project at OVS, explains that some of the factors that made Santalucia Mobili stand out from the rest include its production capacity, professionalism, ability to suggest improvements and space availability.
The process for selecting a supplier began with a call for new concepts from the OVS Visual Merchandising team. Santalucia Mobili put forward a design based on platforms, cubes and iron frames, in keeping with the sleek, geometric style of its home furnishings.
The “folding” technique was used to create the platforms, which involves joining panels cut at a 45° angle. The end result is no visible joins.
The platforms and cubes were made by Santalucia Mobili at its own production facilities, whereas the metal frames were manufactured by its expert partners, specialised in metalworking. The frame was designed by Santalucia Mobili to ensure that the compositions could be assembled and joined together. All the semi-finished parts were assembled and shipped by Santalucia Mobili, according to the plan agreed with OVS.
