New products at Milano Design Week
Santalucia Mobili’s showroom came to life for Milan Design Week, with interior design professionals and enthusiasts eager to see a preview of some of the new bedroom pieces coming soon. As always, Design Week provided the perfect opportunity to present a preview of our new products and gauge the public’s reaction.
New beds
The Ponente bed is designed to replicate the serene scape of a seaside sunset, creating an oasis of comfort and relaxation in a newly designed bedroom space. The upholstered headboard sits inside a wooden frame, and rounded lines create a refined, comfortable feel.
The Plissè bed features an upholstered headboard dressed in an elegant pleated effect; the overall look is light and luxurious when combined with the Fly floating bed frame.
New finishes
The new Rigato glass finish adds a unique see-through effect to the wardrobe design, creating a new, stylish furniture feature.
More than just a new finish, instead an entirely new feature for the bedroom, the Millerighe texture for Grecato lacquer is now also available for wardrobes, chests of drawers and bedside tables, to create a coordinated look and feel.
A new wardrobe
The handle is both carved into the door and applied to it, making it functional and decorative. The hinged Spira door combines form and function in its opening mechanism, providing an attractive yet alternative look.
Environmentally friendly furniture
As part of our efforts to be more sustainable, we’re experimenting with new products. During Design Week, we presented designs made using materials derived from fabric scraps. This idea serves as the starting point for a new way of designing, manufacturing and furnishing.
