Santalucia Mobili design arrives in Ekaterinburg

Italian furniture is known and loved around the world and ‘made in Italy’ is synonymous with quality and creativity, as well as being a cradle of new trends. For years, Santalucia Mobili has been working with agents and retailers to take the products by brands Ikona, Homy and Pratico beyond the Italian borders.

On 25 April 2019, we had another opportunity to export the Santalucia Mobili philosophy and furniture, this time to Russia, more specifically to Ekaterinburg. Here, Anna, owner of the furniture store Empoli, had organised a special event to present Santalucia Mobili to a group of architects and designers from the city.

Our Export Manager, Cristian Mella, went to represent the company, presenting Santalucia Mobili and outlining our product features, as well as answering questions from those present.

For the occasion, we launched our “Design is…” contest again, this time in Ekaterinburg. We asked our Russian guests to write down their definition of design.

The winning phrase was “Design is… un respiro nello spazio” [Design is a breath into space]. The author will receive a prize from the company.

To conclude in true Italian style, an Italian buffet was held at the end of the event.
